You could be right that in the liberal Jewish world G-d is not spoken about or discussed as much as it should, but in orthodoxy and in particular the Chasidic world its very big focus. Focus being that everything comes from G-d. In Chabad we place a big emphasis on trying to understand G-d (as humanly as possible), what he wants from us and learn from his wisdom.
